Cinque Terra - 5 Lands~

My boyfriend was on a 3 months work assignment to Italy, so I took a week leave and flew to Italy to visit him. We didn't really go much places for sightseeing as he gotta work during the weekdays. We only went places around Gallarate (the town he stayed) and during the weekend, we went Cinque Terra.

Using Google translator, Cinque Terra = 5 lands. It's actually 5 villages (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore) built on coastal hills. The whole Cinque Terra National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

We've heard of the famous Via dell"Amore (Lovers Lane) which is a walking trail from Manarola to Riomaggiore and there's a place along this trail where lovers could lock their love with a padlock. Hence, we took a train from Genoa which directly brought us to Manarola. Upon reaching Manarola, we were totally disappointed!! The trail was closed.. And we saw people locking the padlocks on the gate instead..

Okay -.-''' So we walked around randomly and took some photos. It's just many colourful houses built on the terraces. It looked beautiful from far. But on closer look, the buildings were quite old and dirty.

Er. After a while, dark clouds started sinking in and it's definitely no fun at all. It became very windy and the storms were quite scary.

It started raining heavily, and we took the evening train back to Genoa.

So that's about it for Cinque Terra. We realised that the trails in Cinque Terra close quite often. So you gotta check online for latest news to see whether the trails are open to avoid any disappointment.

The Salon I Keep Returning to: Studio M KSL Hair Salon @ KSL City Mall

It's been a while since I crossed the straits to pamper myself at JB. Price wise, it's definitely super value as you are getting top notch service and best quality products such as Mucota or Oway on your precious hair. As a person who always want good deals, I have researched before and hey, there's no way I can find that kind of price for treatments, perm, rebond or hair color using top quality products such as Mucota or Oway in Singapore! Look at my lifeless hair with the uneven hair color. It's time to go Studio M hair salon to pamper my hair and give it a new look! Studio M is located at ground floor of KSL City Mall, beside Sasa.
